What has Harris been up to lately?

	When Harris exhibited at the 'Best of Our Sate' event at the Grove Park Inn in January, one of the featured entertainers was David Holt. David is a masterful musician and storyteller who plays every stringed insrtument known to man, ans well as most percussion instruments, including his thighs and elbows! He hosts a television show on PBS (filmed at the UNC-TV studios) and is a student of folk music and musicians. He has several CD's available and has a role in the recently released movie, 'Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?' David, a Texan who has moved to North Carolina to explore folk music and his own roots, and Harris discovered that they are distant cousins!

Our 11th Annual Summer Anniversary Open House was a great success. Thanks to all of you who came to visit with us and to view and purchase Harris' paintings. It's always fun to have a chance to visit with collectors and frineds. Harris' painting has been fruitful, creative and awesome, so come by to see his newest pieces or visit with him at one of the Art Festivals at which he'll be this Fall. Be sure to check Harris' Fall Show schedule - and please make plans to join us for our Annual Holiday Open House on Nov. 16 - 1 PM 'til 7 PM. Our Custom Framing business is going strong - come in and let us design a beautiful framing package for all of your art! Our two new 5' by 6' design tables are a lower height to make selecting mats and frames an easy and fun experience! We have many new and exciting mouldings from our major suppliers - Larson-Juhl, Roma and LaMarche. We also have a new beautiful Italian moulding line from Bella Mouldings and Tuscaloosa Mouldings. Come see what's new! *And, the construction that has been going on around us for the past year and a half has been completed!* The streets are open and passable, our parking lot is repaved and the Latta Pavillion is starting to move people in to the beautiful new condos and apartments. If you haven't been to our corner of Dilworth lately - come take in the changes! There is even a new shopping center across the street!
